It's been a while since my last post so I'll let you in on my achievements so far this week.

Numero 1: Inserting records into Foxpro databases using ODBC.

Discusion: We (My boss and I) thought this was impossible for the best part of two years until I decided to test it today. It turned out that using the new skills i've developed that it can be done like any other ODBC database.. I believe "fuck" is the word.

Numero 2: I managed to successfully proved that the square-root of every primes is irrational.

Discussion: This is obviously not a new result. In fact, there is a proof that the square root of all whole numbers that are not perfect squares are irrational. However, the break-through comes from the fact that I finally understand this proof in terms of the twenty or so basic axioms of number theory.

Numero 3: I now understand why multiplying two negative numbers results in a positive number.

Discussion: This is not as trivial as it might at first seem. The reason is fairly technical. If you defined -1x-1 = -1 then you'd have to dump the distributive axiom for negative numbers.. Not a nice result.

So there we have it.. The week of Simon demonstrated in terms of technical achievement.
